Buying the right kayak paddle is just as important as buying the right kayak. There are many factors to take into consideration. We like to recommend a two piece paddle because it is much easier to store. When purchasing a paddle, the length is based on the height of the paddler. The weight of a paddle is a huge factor as well. We have found that too heavy a paddle puts undue strain on the shoulders and forearms. Women especially appreciate a light fiberglass or carbon paddle.
